Pony riding across alpine pastures

Pony riding is, without a doubt, ahighlight of our children’s program. This is not surprising, as children love the cute little horses. And our ponies, in turn, can’t wait to trot through the storybook landscape with you!

There’s something for everyone: whether classic pony rides in the riding arena, a few rounds on the longe line for the more experienced, or pony trekking in the summer, where you are led on ponyback by your parents across the gentle Nockberge hills.

Riding courses and riding lessons

Pony riding is at the top of the wish list of almost all our guests aged 1 to 6 years. And our ponies are certainly happy to carry the little ones across our beautiful mountain world!

Riding lessons are offered 2 to 3 times a week and are free of charge for Heidi-Hotel guests. As well as our weekly pony trekking leading kids, parents and ponies across the Nockberge mountains.

Taster riding for beginners: € 15 (15 minutes)
Guided riding in the riding arena for beginners: € 30 (25 minutes)
Hand-guided pony rides across alpine pastures: € 40 (25 minutes) or € 60 (50 minutes)
Guided rides across the alpine pastures on request (only for advanced riders): € 60 (50 minutes)

5-days beginner course for children aged 6 years and above including guided rides, riding on the track, horse and saddle lessons: € 190 (5-days course from Monday to Friday, 3 hours a day, max. 6 children)

Pony riding in winter

Even when the Nockberge mountains are covered in a white blanket of snow, our ponies love activities out in the fresh air. That's why we offer pony riding also in winter. The weekly pony grooming party is designed to make you familiar with the care and behavior of the cute little horses.
