Family holidays in Carinthia
Trees, rocks, walls, … just remember your own childhood and how much fun climbing was. Climbing is a natural instinct pronounced from a very young age – your children will just love the programs offered at Heidi-Alm Bergresort.
The “Nordwand“is your first step towards becoming a climbing expert. At Heidi-Hotel, the 10 m artificial rock climbing facility offers perfect conditions for the right start into this sport. Various routes with comfortable holds, top rope safety and the team assure that children experience their first grips and steps in a safe, comfortable and fun environment.
Safety has top priority. First, the little mountaineers are taught the essential safety skills needed including how to properly put on a harness and tie into the rope. You will also be coached on how to tie knots and constantly keep an eye on all required safety measures. All the time the kids are under the supervision of the sport school’s knowledgeable staff.
Heidi’s children’s via ferrata
Following their first attempts in the world of climbing on the climbing wall, our little guests can transfer their skills to the new children’s via ferrata. They usually adapt quickly to the environment and soon are overwhelmed by the feeling of being a true rock climber. At the top the successful mountaineers take off on a unique outdoor adventure as they glide swiftly back to the hotel on a 100 m giant slide.
Encourage your offspring’s natural and healthy need for movement with kid’s climbing in Carinthia. We look forward to your non-binding holiday inquiry or reservation.
Climbing on the children’s via ferrata is part of the weekly activity program offered by the Falkert tourism association. Three times a week visitors have the possibility to master the via ferrata with a guide (free for Heidi-Hotel guests) and as additional HIGHLIGHT rush back down on the 105 m giant slide with a suspended steel cable called zip line. The equipment required (harness, via ferrata set, helmet) is provided for free for Heidi-Hotel guest!
