Holidays on alpine pastures and right at the heart of the ski resort!
At an altitude of 1,888 m above sea level, Heidi-Hotel Falkertsee lies on the shores of the picturesque mountain lake Falkertsee. Falkertsee itself is an idyllic village nestled in the Carinthian Nockberge mountains right at the heart of the Nockberge national park. The mountains with their unmistakable appearance – the rounded “Nocken“ (summits) offer ideal conditions for hiking in summer and skiing in winter. The crystal-clear mountain lake invites visitors for rowing or sports fishing during the summer season while in winter it is a popular place for cross-country skiing, walking, ice-stick shooting and skating.
From the dairyman on the alpine pasture to the ski instructor in the ski school, the entire village is particularly oriented towards families and their special requests. Falkert also offers the only Heidi-Alm mountain pasture in the world. The children’s adventure park is situated in an approx. 3-hectare Swiss stone pine forest with over 100 figures that tell the story of Heidi and her friends and bring it to life for adults and children!
The Nockberge mountain region
Nestled in this gentle mountain range, Falkert is a glorious holiday region with a wide range of activities on offer for all tastes: besides the perfectly groomed slopes at Falkert, in winter guests have also the choice of skiing in the two larger ski areas of
Bad Kleinkirchheim or Turracher Höhe, both only a 25-minute drive away.
In addition to more than 1000 km of hiking trails, the region awaits its guests with a unique lake landscape for bathing fun in the summer. Lake Millstättersee is only around 30 minutes away from Falkert, and the larger lakes Wörthersee and Ossiachersee can be reached by car in only 45 minutes.
Golf lovers can enjoy a round of golf on the course in Bad Kleinkirchheim, located nearby at the foot of Falkertsee or on one of the 5 further courses a mere 30 km away, each offering unique golf experiences.
You see, holidays at Falkert provide a whole lot of variety and it’s not for nothing that Carinthia is known for holidays among friends!
