Climbing and Fixed Rope Route
No matter what age, human beings have always had an inherent natural instinct to climb. Climbing up trees and rocks promotes one’s natural desire for movement and should be encouraged and supported. At the Heidi-Hotel, the 10 meter high “Nordwand” rock climbing facility offers perfect conditions for the right start into this sport.
Beginning this summer, Falkert will hold new challenges for experienced climbers and intrepid mountaineers: the Falkertspitz summit can not only be reached via the usual hiking paths but also on a fixed rope route whose entrance is situated in the Sonntagstal valley and takes climbers up to just below the Falkertspitz summit cross! Providing a fantastic view over the whole of Carinthia, this rope route will certainly be a rewarding experience.
Döbriach at lake Millstättersee, a mere 30 km away and with spectacular routes starting right at the lake shore, has a beautiful climbing garden with all levels of difficulty for those who explicitly favor rock.
