How To Get There

If your GPS tells you to exit A10 motorway at Eben/Radstadt do so only in good weather as this route leads over two passes (Obertauern and Turracher Höhe), which is a nice alternative route in case of traffic congestion in summer but not in winter!

Sometimes you are also requested to exit the A 10 Tauern motorway at the tollbooth to "St Michael". This is not recommended in winter so keep going on the A10 motorway until Villach (toll fee) and exit the A 10 motorway at the junction Spittal-Millstätter See (only left exit on the Tauern motorway).
 Turn left to Bad Kleinkirchheim at the traffic lights at the end of the exit. Go to Seeboden - Millstatt –Radenthein and exit the roundabout at the end of the town towards Bad Kleinkirchheim (2nd exit) - Turrach (badly signposted). Follow the Kleinkirchheimer Bundesstraße to Bad Kleinkirchheim and Wiedweg.
 After approx. 3 km (past the Wiedweg church) turn left into Turracher Bundesstrasse at the crossroads and follow the direction to Turracher Höhe.
 After approx. 1 km "Peter" is already waiting for you on the left  to show you where to turn into Falkert road.
 After 8 km (winding road) you stop directly in front of the Heidi-Hotel.

II. Coming from east, that is, Vienna:

Change from the A 23 to the A2 motorway at the junction Wien-Inzersdorf Süd and follow the A2 Südautobahn motorway for approx. 310 km. Exit at Klagenfurt Nord in the direction of Feldkirchen via B95 and go on for approx. 400 m. At the crossroads turn right into B95 Turracher Bundesstraße and continue on Turracher Bundesstraße for approx. 15 km until Feldkirchen in Carinthia. At the second traffic lights-crossroad turn right in the direction Bad Kleinkirchheim. 
Continue on Turracher Bundesstraße for about 25 km and approx 1 km after the village of Patergassen "Peter" is already waiting for you on the left to show you where to turn into Falkert road.
 After 8 km (winding road) you stop directly in front of the Heidi-Hotel.

III. Coming from Italy:

Follow the A23 in the direction E55, Austria, Tarvisio, Villach. Continue on A23 for approx. 95 km and cross the border to Austria. Change from the A23 to the A2 at the junction (366) and follow the A2 for approx. 25 km.
 Change from the A2 to the A10 in the direction E66, A10, Villach-Ossiacher See, Salzburg at the junction (182) Villach. After about 5 km on the A10 exit at the junction Villach-Ossiacher See in the direction B94, Villach, Ossiacher See and follow the Ossiacher Bundesstraße (B94) until you get to a roundabout which you leave at the 3rd exit in the direction of Radenthein/Bad Kleinkirchheim
. Go straight on for about 20 km until the roundabout at the end of the town of Radenthein. Exit the roundabout towards Bad Kleinkirchheim (2nd exit) - Turrach (badly signposted). Follow the Kleinkirchheimer Bundesstraße to Bad Kleinkirchheim and Wiedweg.

IV. Coming from Slovenia:

Go past Jesenice towards Villach/Austria on the A2 motorway. 
Keep going on the motorway to Austria through the Karawanken tunnel (motorway toll).
 In Austria you continue on the A2 in the direction of A10/Salzburg.
 Change from the A2 to the A10 in the direction E66, A10, Villach-Ossiacher See, Salzburg at the junction (182) Villach. After about 5 km on the A10 exit at the junction Villach-Ossiacher See in the direction B94, Villach, Ossiacher See and follow the Ossiacher Bundesstraße (B94) until you get to a roundabout which you leave at the 3rd exit in the direction of Radenthein/Bad Kleinkirchheim
